Workshops

the Recorder in the Renaissance is a series of workshops aimed at recorder players of medium and advanced level especially interested in the polyphonic repertory from the Renaissance.

Each session has the duration of 18 hours divided into individual lessons (students are free to play pieces from any period or style), consort practice and study of the musical theory of the 16th century.

The pieces will be prepared from facsimile reproductions of the primary sources and two sets of instruments will be used (consort HIES/HIERS by Adrian Brown and consort Rafi by Luca de Paolis).

Other instruments and singers can participate in the workshops. Pitch is a=460 hz.

Each session has separate applications. Priority will be given to students who  wish to attend all sessions, in order to have continuity in the themes.
